One World Travel's Fundraising Gala 2024

On Saturday the 3rd February our Wakefield team held their event at the King’s Croft Hotel in Pontefract. More than 200 guests came from across the region for a fantastic night of fundraising for Wakefield Hospice and Wakefield Cathedral Choir. Our team are very proud to say that we raised £5,500 for these two very special causes.

Throughout the night guests took part in a raffle and auction for a chance to win an array of amazing prizes. In amongst the fantastic hampers was a free Eurostar trip to Paris for two. The auction included two extra special opportunities - a one week stay in a luxury North Yorkshire cottage and two return business class tickets with Virgin to Shanghai. 

Those who attended the fundraising gala were, as always, treated to an out of this world buffet banquet. The King's Croft Hotel's catering staff never disappoint, laying on a fantastic spread featuring hearty English favourites, a huge lobster paella, Chinese classic dishes and an array of stunning desserts. 

To top off the event, One World's guests and staff members spent the rest of the night chatting, enjoying a few beverages, dancing and singing along to the terrific live performance from The Sonics. All in all it was a really fun event and once again we succeeding in our all-important mission of raising funds for two causes close to our hearts.
